Electric Train Services (ETS).

I had my first experience using Malaysia's fastest train, ETS (Electric Train Services) for my ride back home to Ipoh from KL Central.
It took exactly 1 hour 55 minutes and the train could go as fast as 145 km/h. It's very clean, comfortable, modern, reliable and sharp which we can be proud of. At the moment, this service is only available between the ride KL-Ipoh, but it would be extended to Perlis by the end of 2012.
To me, ETS could provide an opportunity for Perakians to be connected to both Kuala Lumpur and Penang within a very small period of time, and at the same time, Perak could be apart of Greater KL someday, similar as Greater Tokyo which involved 7,800 km² landmass, which is HUGE.
However, RM30 per trip is quite expensive for a day trip to Ipoh, don't you think? Compare to travelling with bus which only cost you not more than RM20, and only a 1/2 an hour extra from ETS?
But anyhow, I'm still proud of it (^^)

p.s. Masih terasa penat bila sampai kat stesen keretapi Ipoh, tak dapat teksi dan terpaksa berjalan 15 minit ke ofis untuk mengambil kereta dengan beg backpacker yang sangat besar. Macam tourist pulak. Patut bawak map sekali...
